Project Description

The research training group prometei develops and integrates methods, procedures and tools in order to investigate the human-machine interaction already in the early development phases of technical systems. The work in research cluster 7 deals with the design of multi-modal telecommunication services, like entertainment portals, ambient intelligence applications and secure portals for authentification and specific administrative purposes. The goals here are to measure, and with the help of simulation to predict, the quality and the usability of such applications, without having to rely too much on the efforts of human participants used in the research.

Expected Outcome:
 

• New methods for usability evaluation of multi-modal services
• Target-values for a model-based prediction of quality and usability
• A prediction model for evaluation results
