Bau- und Abbruchabfälle im Kosovo. Eine Fallstudie in den Gemeinden Pristina und Fushe Kosova

Der Urban Management Kurs 2018/19 führte ein Fallstudienprojekt im Kosovo durch. In Zusammenarbeit mit der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH und den Gemeinden Pristina und Fushe Kosova konzentriert sich die Arbeit der Studierenden auf reale Probleme der Abfallwirtschaft, insbesondere im Hinblick auf Bau- und Abbruchabfälle (Construction and Demolition Waste, CDW). Der Bericht bewertet die aktuelle Situation und entwickelt alternative Vorschläge für den Umgang mit Bauschutt, die auf verschiedenen Erkenntnissen aus Untersuchungen, Interviews und Diskussionen beruhen. Anschließend werden Anreize auf der Grundlage gewonnener Erkenntnisse mit Blick auf den rechtlichen Rahmen kosovarischer Gesetze gegeben.

Abfallwirtschaft im Kosovo. Bewertung eines Abfallbankmodells in Dardania, Pristina

Der Urban Management Kurs 2015/16 führte ein Fallstudienprojekt im Kosovo durch. In Zusammenarbeit mit der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, der Universität von Pristina und der Stadtverwaltung von Pristina arbeiteten die Studierenden an der Bewertung eines Modells in Dardania, Pristina. Acht Jahre nach der Erlangung der Unabhängigkeit sah sich das Land mit einer Vielzahl von Herausforderungen konfrontiert, zu denen auch die Bereitstellung von Dienstleistungen wie der Abfallentsorgung gehört. Der Bericht enthält Zusammenfassungen der Entwicklung des Kosovo und des rechtlichen Rahmens des Abfallwirtschaftssektors und befasst sich mit den Ergebnissen und Vorschlägen der Studierenden in Bezug auf die Auswirkungen auf den öffentlichen Haushalt, die Abfallsammlung und das Abfallmanagement, Datenerhebung, Management Systeme und mehr.

Stadterneuerung des verborgenen Welterbes in L'wiw

Der Urban Management Kurs 2010/11 führte ein Fallstudienprojekt im Rahmen des GIZ-Programms mit dem Titel "Municipal Development and Rehabilitation of the Old City of L'viv" in L'wiw, Ukraine durch. Die daraus entstandende Studie enthält Vorschläge für physische Interventionen und Strategien für eine verbesserte Verwaltung in Pilotgebieten des alten Stadtzentrums. (Carsten Zehner und Lukas Born)
