Viktoria Steinbeck arbeitet seit August 2020 als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Fachgebiet Management im Gesundheitswesen. Zuvor arbeitete sie für diverse Akteure im Gesundheitswesen, unter anderem für die Europäische Kommission, die Allianz und das Deutsche Netzwerk für Versorgungsforschung. Als gesundheitspolitische Beraterin in Brüssel, hat sie sich besonders mit der EU Gesundheitspolitik in den Bereichen Impfprävention und seltene Krankheiten beschäftigt.
Ihren Bachelor Sc. hat sie in European Public Health an der Maastricht University abgeschlossen und ihre beiden Master Sc. in Health Economics und Health Policy, Innovation and Management als Doppelmaster an der Universität zu Köln und der Universität Maastricht. Als Visiting Researcher hat sie zudem für die Columbia University in New York gearbeitet und sich dort vor allem mit der Anwendung von Behavioural Economics Ansätzen im Gesundheitssektor befasst.
Von August 2024 bis August 2025 forscht Viktoria Steinbeck als Harkness Fellow des Commonwealth Funds für ein Jahr in den USA zur Integration der Perspektive von Patientinnen und Patienten in die Messung von Low-value care und analysiert Unterschiede in dem Erhalt von Low-value care zwischen Geschlechtern in den USA und Deutschland.
