Five years ago, the Department of Health Care Management and the School of Public Health at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology organised the first Health Policy Dialogue in Ghana as part of the DAAD PAGEL Project Capacity Building in Health Systems Research and Management in Ghana. The Annual Health Policy Dialogue is now hosted by the Ghana Ministry of Health, and this year’s Dialogue was intended to contribute to the revision of the Ghanaian Health System Performance Assessment (HSPA) approach. Reinhard Busse, Miriam Blümel, Daniel Opoku, and Wilm Quentin provided evidence on international HSPA experience to support the Ministry in reviewing its HSPA approach.
