Sebastian Werner ist seit 2017 wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Fachgebiet Information Systems Engineering, nachdem er sein Masterstudium in Informatik an der Technischen Universität Berlin abgeschlossen hat.

Sebastians Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen in der Analyse und Erweiterung moderner verteilter Systeme, beginnend mit dem Beobachten und Lenken von Datenströmen in Fog & Edge Anwendungen im Rahmen des DITAS-Projekts, der Migration von datenverarbeitenden Analyseplattformen in Serverless Systeme im Rahmen des SMILE-Projekts sowie die experimentelle Messung und Erweiterung von Cloud-basierten Anwendungen und Plattformen.
