Franziska Sörgel is a researcher at the Chair of Innovation Economics held by Professor Knut Blind at TU Berlin. Since February 2022, she has been responsible for evaluating the project "AnthropoScenes. Making Sustainable Futures Public" (funded by the Berlin University Alliance), where she seeks to examine its societal impact. She is a doctoral candidate at the Institute for Social Sciences at Humboldt University Berlin. She studied Comparative Cultural Studies and Political Science in Regensburg, followed by Sociology and European Ethnology (with a focus on Science and Technology Studies) in London, Berlin and Florence. Her current research interests include technology and innovation studies as well as questions of evaluation procedures and practices (including emotion research and measuring societal impact in science). Her doctoral research focuses on the development processes of technological prototypes and their emotional construction and evaluation. Previously, she was responsible for the project "Societal Impact @ BUA" (2020-2022) at the Humboldt University Berlin and from 2018 to 2019 for the subproject "Prolab" at the Technical University of Munich.
