Regulatory sandboxes are a new innovation policy instrument. After the origins in the financial sector to promote the development of fintechs, the approach has been applied in other sectors, like transport. Now it is proposed to apply it in emerging technologies, like blockchain or artificial intelligence. And recently regulatory sandboxes are the main innovation policy instrument to reach the objectives of the Net Zero Industry Act. Themes could be mainly empirically based case studies, but also conceptual approaches are welcome.
