In light of the recent devastating earthquake in Turkey and Northern Syria, the Department of Building Archaeology and Built Heritage Conservation at the Techincal University of Berlin has organized a training session to be held tomorrow, February 10th, with the consulting engineer Dipl.-Ing.Axel Seeman.
The purpose of the session is to provide a concise overview of the assessment of post-earthquake damages, including techniques for evaluating the situation on the ground, identifying repetitive patterns of damage and associated hazards, and making rough evaluations of building safety. Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in discussion and participate in a collaborative exchange of ideas.
The training session will be conducted in German and English, with the support of Arabic translation.
Young engineers and volunteers with a background in civil engineering or a related field are warmly invited to attend. Although Pre-registration is not necessary, we respectfully request that those without a relevant background refrain from participating.

ينظم قسم البحث في المباني التّاريخيّة و الحفاظ على التّراث في جامعة برلين التّقنية جلسة تدريبيّة غداً 10 شباط 2023 في مجال تقييم الأخطار في المباني بعد الهزّات الأرضيّة. تأتي هذه الجلسة استجابة للأحداث الأخيرة المحزنة على إثر الهزّة الأرضيّة في كلّ من سورية و تركيا.
تهدف هذه الجلسة إلى تقديم لمحة عامّة عن تقييم الأخطار بعد الزلازل، و تتضمن لمحة عن تقنيات تقييم الأخطار على الأرض، و تحديد نماذج الأضرار المتكررة، كما الأخطار المرتبطة بالأضرار و كيفية عمل تقييم مبدأي لمدى سلامة المباني و المنازل.
بعد المقدمة سوف يتاح للحضور طرح أسئلتهم و المناقشة المباشرة مع المهندس الاستشاري أكسل زيمان.
تعقد الجلسة بكلّ من اللّغتين الألمانيّة و الإنكليزية مع وجود دعم للغة العربيّة و ترجمة مباشرة.
نرحّب بحضور جميع المهندسين و الخريجين الجدد كما المتطوعين ذوي الخلفية الأكاديمية في الهندسة المدنية و الإنشاء و الفروع المشابهة. على الرّغم من عدم ضرورة التّسجيل المسبق إلّا أنّنا نطلب بلطف من جميع المتطوعين الآخرين من الاختصاصات الأخرى بالامتناع عن الحضور و إفساح المجال للآخرين ذوي المعرفة المسبقة بهذه المواضيع.
