I studied medical engineering in the university of Lübeck from 2015-2018. After finishing my bachelor’s degree, I started my master studies in the TU Berlin focusing on rehabilitation techniques. During this time, I had the chance to work as a student assistant in a research project of the control system group. Within this project, my responsibilities involved measurement protocol design, patient measurements and signal processing. Furthermore, it was the first time I came across spinal cord stimulation, which has remained one of my field of interests ever since. As an internship and for my master thesis, I worked on a test stand for cardiac assistance devices at Berlin Heart GmbH. After completing my master’s degree in 2021, I started working as a research assistant in the Charité and returned to the field of spinal cord stimulation.
