Forschungsbereich Fossil-Exit (EX-IT)
Der Schwerpunkt der Lehr- und Forschungsarbeit liegt auf der Transformation von fossilen Energiesystemen hin zu 100% erneuerbaren Energiesystemen, um den Anstieg der globalen Durchschnittstemperatur auf maximal 1.5°C zu begrenzen, ohne andere planetare Grenzen zu überschreiten.
Die Forschungsarbeit ist in verschiedene Forschungsschwerpunkte unterteilt. Drei der Schwerpunkte bilden die Forschungsgruppe FossilExit (früher bekannt unter dem Namen CoalExit), koordiniert von Prof. Dr. Oei.
