Dynamik instabiler Strömungen

Jens Müller

Jens Müller hat den Masterstudiengang Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik an der TU Berlin 2018 abgeschlossen. Als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Fachgebiet Dynamik instabiler Strömungen ist er verantwortlich für die Betreuung und Übungsleitung der Lehrveranstaltung Methoden der Datenanalyse in der Thermofluiddynamik.

Im Rahmen seiner Promotion forscht er an theoretischen als auch an datengetriebenen, empirischen Analysemethoden. Diese Methoden sollen zur zielgerichteten Entwicklung und Optimierung von Strömungskontrollanwendungen eingesetzt werden. Die Anwendungen erstrecken sich hierbei z.B. auf Gasturbinen in Gasturbinenkraftwerken oder auf Francis-Turbinen in Wasserkraftwerken zur Unterdrückung von globalen Strömungsinstabilitäten, welche eine Gefahr für den sicheren Betrieb solcher Anlagen darstellen. Weiterhin werden die Methoden auf Rotorblättern von Windkraftanlagen zur Reduzierung von Hinterkantenlärm eingesetzt, welcher eine Hauptquelle der Lärmbelastung durch Windkraftanlagen darstellt.
