Courses and workshops

All offers are based on the research management curriculum. This provides the organizational framework for strengthening all competences researchers require over the entire life cycle of research projects: from preparing and planning a project through to its implementation and transfer.

We offer some 25 to 30 courses in Project and Research Management targeted towards research staff and doctoral candidates who are currently or plan to acquire, implement, or coordinate research projects or communicate and utilize their output. Junior researchers in particular who aim to work in research, whether at university or non-university research institutions, industry, or their own start-up, receive qualified assistance.

The practical focus of our courses allows participants to successfully master current tasks and challenges. In the medium term, they are able to expand competences in a targeted manner and thus shape their research careers with sustainable success. From the basics of research management to new developments and trends in the field - early career and experienced researchers alike benefit from a wide range of ideas in the courses to help them better organize their everyday research.

In addition to general offers, special continuing education offers are available for doctoral candidates to support them from their first dissertation idea to their defense.

Our courses are aimed at all junior scholars, researchers and doctoral students at TU Berlin as well as the other institutions within the Berlin University Alliance (BUA).

Research Management Certification Program

The Research Management Certification Program is aimed at further developing and consolidating those competences which are central to your scientific research and project work You will learn about various aspects of the complete life cycle of projects. The program's primary focus is on acquiring external funding, project management, and research transfer.

You will receive the Research Management Certificate as written confirmation of the work completed and the competences acquired. You will be able to present this certificate in a variety of contexts, for instance when applying for a position.

The certification program has been designed to provide you the greatest possible flexibility in your choice of courses.
