onSET

The onSET is a language test used worldwide in the C-Test format.
- It enables a quick and accurate assessment of global language skills in German or English.
- Universities and language institutes use it for language learners, students and scholarship holders to place them in language courses or to check their learning progress.
As a certified test center, ZEMS offers the computer-assisted C-Test onSET in German and English.
Please note that currently we can only offer onSET to people who have a TU account.

about the test
This test is a C test, i.e. the participants are given 8 gapped texts which they have to complete in a time of 5 minutes each. The test is not competency-oriented (i.e. listening, speaking, reading and writing skills), but provides summary information about the level of general language competence in German or English based on the score achieved. The test takes 40 minutes.
Registration
The test can be taken during the opening hours of the ZEMS media library. Please register at least 3 working days in advance by email mediothek(at)zems.tu-berlin.de or by phone at Mediothek and arrange an individual examination date.
Please bring your receipt of payment on the day of the test.
