Pre-Semester intensive German course

Becom acquainted with the German language and the TU Berlin and meet fellow students before the semester begins!
Preparatory German courses for incoming students are offered by the Central Facility for Modern Languages (ZEMS) for international students of all faculties.
This language course gives you the opportunity
- get to know the facilities of the TU Berlin before the semester starts,
- explore the city of Berlin together with other students,
- improve your listening, reading, writing and speaking skills,
- expand your vocabulary on various topics.

You will have to take a placement test on-site for the Intensive German courses at the beginning of March at our media center.
Requirements for ERASMUS Students
Please note that the intensive courses for ERASMUS students are only offered from level B1 of the European Framework of Reference. Previous knowledge of A2 level German is required and your language level will be assessed at the beginning of the course with the internationally recognized placement test onSET (www.onset.de ).
In the case of test results below A2, we reserve the right to conduct a brief individual oral assessment. ERASMUS students who cannot prove basic knowledge of the German language at level A2 in this examination cannot take part in the intensive courses. This regulation results from the existing ERASMUS agreements between the TU Berlin and its partner universities.
