If you discover a fire or emergency, you are to immediately inform the Main Information Desk:
Please provide the following information:
After you have been connected, do not hang up!
The Information Desk can enable conference calling to create a direct connection between you – the Information Desk – and the fire department, should rescue services have any further questions.
If the fire is in a building with fire detectors, you can also sound the alarm by pressing the button on the fire detector. In this case, you should also call the Information Desk via ext. 3333 or from a cell phone by dialing 030 314-23333.
Pay close attention:
If you directly dial 112 to call the fire department, you must also call the Information Desk so that any necessary internal University measures can be undertaken.
The Poison Control Centre at Charité is responsible for the Berlin-Brandenburg region. It is available 24 hours a day year round and provides information and consultation over the phone for cases of poisoning or suspected poisoning. In such a case, call 030 19240.
On the green emergency boards you can find not only the emergency numbers for Technische Universität Berlin but also important numbers for the respective city borough in which your building is located – for example the phone number for urgent care or the emergency room.
The green emergency boards are available from the Hygiene Storage Facility in the Eugene-Paul-Wigner (EW) building, room EG 001b.
