The Faculty Board is our main decision-making body and is responsible for all aspects of the faculty’s work, in particular the enactment of statutes (such as examination, doctoral and Habilitation regulations), the proper conducting of teaching and examinations, coordination of research projects, appointment proposals, Habilitations, organization and distribution of staff and material resources, as well as hiring proposals for centrally employed staff. The Faculty Board can also appoint committees to advise it as well as individual faculty members as representatives for specific tasks. It may delegate matters of day-to-day administration to the dean for independent handling.
As is the case for almost all University committees, meetings of the Faculty Board are open to the public and as a rule take place once a month during the lecture period. A part of the meetings also takes place sub rosa for members of the Faculty Board only. Additional committees may be convened for the lecture-free period. Agendas are published seven days before the respective meeting and can be accessed on this page, as can the minutes of previous meetings.
Until further notice, Faculty Board meetings will take place as video conferences. If you would like to attend the public part of a meeting as a guest, please send an email to rat@vm.tu-berlin.de to receive an invitation with the participation link. Please only use this option if you have a legitimate interest in attending in order to keep the number of occupied conference lines as low as possible.
