Flow simulation and fluiddynamic optimization in process engineering systems

Within the scope of cooperation projects or as contract research, we perform computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations in the following application areas:

  • Spatially resolved simulation of random flow and porous media
  • Simulation of mixing processes in stirred tanks or static mixers including complex rheological behavior
  • Simulation of reactive flows
  • Simulation of multiphase flows (g/s, g/l, l/g, l/l)

Aim is the:

  • Weak point analysis regarding fluid dynamics as well as heat and mass transfer in technical apparatuses
  • Fluid dynamic optimization of apparatus design and operation based on CFD
  • Determination of effective transport parameters for simplified process simulation models based on CFD
