Prospective students with an international higher education entrance qualification

Enrollment

No enrollment without prior application and admission!

  • Prospective students with an international university entrance qualification must always apply to TU Berlin - including for degree programs with free admission (no NC).
  • After successful application and admission, you will automatically receive an email with the login details for your TUB account (tuPORT). Please set up your account without delay and upload all required forms and documents in full by the enrollment deadline. The portal also contains information about how to pay the semester fee.
  • All essential information about the documents and proof required can be found on the Enrollment Checklist.
  • Please note: If you are currently enrolled in another degree program at TU Berlin, communication will only take place via your TU email account and your existing TUB account (tuPORT).
  • The enrollment deadline is final. Any forms uploaded after the deadline will not be considered.

Extension of deadlines

An extension of the deadline can only be applied for within the enrollment deadline stated in your letter of admission and in your TUB account (tuPORT).

To request an extension, please send us an email. The subject line of your email must contain the following: “Fristverlängerung + degree program + applicant number + last name”

MINTgrün pre-study orientation program

You can find information about applying for the MINTgrün pre-study orientation program on the following web page.

Multiple enrollment and enrollment in two programs of study

You can be enrolled in two degree programs at the same time: either in two degree programs at TU Berlin or in a degree program at TU Berlin and a second degree program at another German university.

However, you can only be enrolled in a second restricted admission degree program, if your enrollment does not prevent other applicants from enrolling in the degree program as their primary first degree.

If you are simultaneously enrolled in two degree programs at TU Berlin, this is called a Doppelstudium. If you are enrolled at another Berlin or Brandenburg university, you can enroll in another degree program at TU Berlin. This is called multiple enrollment or Mehrfachimmatrikulation.

More information on multiple enrollment and enrollment in two programs of study at TU Berlin can be found on the following web page.

As a precaution, we would like to point out that enrollment is excluded if you do not fulfill the admission requirements.
