
To enroll in a free admission bachelor's study program (no NC), please complete the following two steps:
If you already have an active TUB account (tuPORT), log in and select your requested degree program using the filter function. The required documents listed for the requested degree program must be uploaded in full by the enrollment deadline. Your TUB account (tuPORT) may also instruct you to fulfill additional requirements by the enrollment deadline.
IMPORTANT: If you are currently enrolled in another degree program at TU Berlin, communication will only take place via your TU email account and your existing TUB account (tuPORT).
The enrollment deadline is final. Enrollment requests uploaded after the enrollment deadline will not be accepted. Any payment received after the deadline will not be accepted. In this case, your enrollment will be denied due to failure to observe the deadline.
IMPORTANT: Under no circumstances should you request termination of enrollment from your current degree program. When you enroll in your new degree program, the Office of Student Affairs will automatically exmatriculate you from your previous degree program. You do not need to take further action.
You cannot request transfer to a restricted admission degree program (with NC) through online registration. In order to switch to a restricted admission degree program, you must submit an application during the application period (see Deadlines and Dates) and receive a letter of admission from TU Berlin. If you are enrolled at TU Berlin for the current semester and would like to transfer to a free admission degree program (no NC), complete the following steps:

Should you have definitively failed an examination at any stage of your previous studies, the respective examination board must, as part of its examination of the Application for Recognition of Previously Obtained Credits (Part A), additionally state that the failed examination does not represent an obstacle to you being accepted to the degree program you wish to study.
How and where do I obtain a decision from the TU Berlin examination board?
You should submit the Application for Recognition of Previously Obtained Credits (Parts A and B) as well as proof of all study and examination credits you have thus far acquired (e.g. transcript of records) to the respective TU Berlin examination board. Request confirmation that your definitively failed examinations do not represent an obstacle to you being accepted to the TU Berlin degree program you wish to study.

How can I be assigned to a higher degree semester?
You should submit the Application for Recognition of Previously Obtained Credits (Parts A and B) as well as proof of all study and examination credits you have thus far acquired (e.g. transcript of records) to the respective TU Berlin examination board and request assignment to a degree semester.

It is important that you contact the examination board in good time so that you have your degree semester placement before the enrollment deadline for free admission degree programs (no NC) and you can upload this document to your TUB account (tuPORT) as required.

The Application for Recognition of Previously Obtained Credits (Part B) and proof of all the credits you have thus far acquired remain with the respective TU Berlin examination board.
If you were previously enrolled in the same degree program with the same study and examination regulations at TU Berlin, you are a re-registrant. When re-registering, you can only apply for the semester you were placed in by the TU Berlin examination board. The semester must fall within the standard period of study for your degree program AND be offered the semester you are applying (i.e. winter or summer semester).
You must also submit a certificate of good academic standing from the Examination Office, confirming you still have the right to take examinations in the requested degree program.
Please note that it is not possible to be placed back in the first degree semester.
