If you do not have a library card, two coin-operated copy machines are available in the Copy Center.

TU members, UdK members, and guests with a library card can also pay for copies through their "print@campus account with their “MensaCard” (canteen card). The MensaCard can be purchased and topped up in studierendenWERK canteens and cafés (at TU Berlin and other Berlin universities). During opening hours, the Copy Center is staffed and you can top up your print@campus account with cash.

print@campus accounts are automatically set up (either via your TUB account or your Internet account for the computer workstations).

Printers are available at the following locations:

Print from a computer workstation

  1. Click “Drucken.”
  2. Select the desired printer. You can print from printers within the Central Library as well as several others such as the large-format printer at the Campus Management Service Desk (ZECM) or the printer at the Architecture and Art Studies Department Library.
  3. Go to the printer you selected and log in with your "print@campus account (TUB account or Internet account for the computer workstations).
  4. The menu will list all print jobs. You have the option to edit these jobs (such as deleting them or moving them to another printer).
  5. The total cost of printing will be shown together with your print@campus account balance.
  6. Confirm the print job.

Print from a laptop

Option 1

  1. Personalize your print jobs
  2. Install a print driver
  3. Click “Drucken.”
  4. Select the desired printer.
  5. Go to the printer you selected and log in with your "print@campus account (TUB account or Internet account for the computer workstations).
  6. The menu will list all print jobs. You have the option to edit these jobs (such as deleting them or moving them to another printer).
  7. The total cost of printing will be shown together with your print@campus account balance.
  8. Confirm the print job

Option 2

  1. Log in to your print@campus account online.
    (TU members can log in via the TUB portal, all other users should log in via dracula.tubit.tu-berlin.de)
  2. Upload the file you wish to print (“Datei-Upload” in the menu)
  3. Select the desired printer.
  4. Go to the printer you selected and log in with your print@campus account.
  5. The menu will list all print jobs. You have the option to edit these jobs (such as deleting them or moving them to another printer).
  6. The total cost of printing will be shown together with your print@campus account balance.
  7. Confirm the print job

Print from a USB stick and printer

You can print files on a USB stick using either the computer workstations or a printer in the Copy Center. 

Printing from a computer workstation

Recommended

  1. Log on to one of the computer workstations and insert the USB stick into the USB port.
  2. Open the file you wish to print.
  3. Click “Drucken.”
  4. Select the desired printer and adjust the print settings. You can print from printers within the Central Library as well as several others such as the large-format printer at the Campus Management Service Desk (ZECM) or the printer at the Architecture and Art Studies Department Library.
  5. Go to the printer you selected and log in with your "print@campus account (TUB account or Internet account for the computer workstations).
  6. The menu will list all print jobs. You have the option to delete these jobs or move them to another printer.
  7. The total cost of printing will be shown together with your print@campus account balance.
  8. Confirm the print job.

Printing directly from a USB stick

Not recommended

  • Possible file formats: PDF, JPG, HTML, and PS files
  • Single-sided printing is not possible (settings cannot be changed).
  1. Log into the printer you wish to use with your "print@campus account (TUB account or Internet account for the computer workstations).
  2. Insert the USB stick (there is a cable on the table).
  3. Select “Datei Upload” from the menu.
  4. Select the file you wish to print by clicking on “Choose File.”
  5. Select the printer.
  6. Select “Hochladen der Datei und Ausdrucken” from the menu.
  7. The file will be uploaded and appear in the list of print jobs.
  8. The total cost of printing will be shown together with your print@campus account balance.
  9. Confirm the print job.

Print from a USB stick and copy machine

  • Possible file formats: PDF, Word, JPG, TIF
  1. Insert the exact change
    or log in to the middle copy machine with your "print@campus” account (TUB account or Internet account for the computer workstations). 
  2. Insert the USB stick (on the right side of the machine)
  3. Select “Dokument aus externem Speicher drucken” from the menu
  4. Select the file you wish to print
  5. Adjust the settings (b/w, double-sided, pages x to x)
  6. Print

Copy machines can be found in the Copy Center in the Central Library.

Copy using the printing account copy machine

1.  Log in to the copy machine you would like to use with your print@campus account.
2.  Your account balance will be displayed and can be used for copying.
3.  After you have finished copying, log out by pressing the key button (with a red dot) on the copy machine.
