Searching for e-books
The TU Berlin University Library has a number of electronic books, including textbooks, and reference materials, which you have access to. You can search for e-books either in the Primo Knowledge Portal or using the individual publisher’s own website. The e-book publishers are organized by subject. We have also included a list of multidisciplinary publishers and portals.
Please note:
- To access licensed e-books, you must use the TU Berlin campus Internet network.
- By accessing the e-books, you agree to the terms of use.
- After entering your search term in the Primo Knowledge Portal (e.g. book title, keyword), select “E-Books” under Type of Publication in the right hand menu “Refine my results”.
- Please note that we do not always purchase licenses for all a publisher's works but rather often only selected relevant titles. Titles are designated as licensed differently, depending on the publisher.
- QR codes are available on the textbook shelves whenever a book is also available as an e-book.
- If a link does not take you to the full text, please submit the feedback form. The form can be accessed from any search result in the Primo Knowledge Portal. Click on “Online access” and go to “Additional services”. The form will be listed there.

DFG national licenses
You can find other multidisciplinary electronic books using the DFG’s national licenses. Since 2004, the German Research Foundation (DFG) has financed national licenses for electronic media.
