Standards and Regulations

Access is provided via the Nautos database.

The TU Berlin University Library is the central point of contact for information about DIN standards. Since 1917, it has provided a repository for all DIN standards.

The library has electronic subscriptions to the following valid standards:  

• the complete body of German standards including drafts, pre-standards and supplementary sheets 
• the DIN EN standards (European standards that are adopted as DIN standards)
• the DIN EN ISO standards, DIN ISO standards (international standards that are first adopted as European standards and then subsequently adopted as DIN standards)
• the DIN ETS standards (European telecommunications standards that are adopted as DIN standards)
• the DIN IEC standards (international electrical engineering standards that are adopted as DIN standards) 

Commercial use of DIN standards is strictly prohibited. DIN standards are only available for personal scientific use. By accessing the standards, you agree to Nautos' terms of use.

Access is provided via the Nautos database.

The library has electronic subscriptions to valid VDI guidelines.

Commercial use of VDI guidelines is strictly prohibited. VDI guidelines are only available for personal scientific use. By accessing the standards, you agree to Nautos' terms of use.

The library has electronic subscriptions to valid VDE standards, including drafts. 

Read-only access is provided through the database VDE NormenBibliothek Online. You are not permitted to print or download from the database.

IEEE standards may only be accessed by members of TU Berlin through the IEEE Explore database. Login via Shibboleth is required.

Print versions of RAL are available at the information desk on the second floor of the Central Library. The University Library currently only subscribes to the print versions of RG and GZ regulations.

The University Library of the TU Berlin has subscribed to the valid DWA Arbeitsblätter (DWA-A) and DWA Merkblätter (DWA-M) in electronic form.

Commercial use of the DWA rules and regulations is expressly prohibited. The DWA standards are available exclusively for the user's own scientific use. With the access the terms of use of Nautos are accepted.
