American Chemical Society (ACS)

The American Chemical Society (ACS) was founded in 1876 and is dedicated to the promotion of chemical research.

The TU Berlin University Library licenses all of the ACS’ electronic journals and makes these available to its users. We also offer access to the ACS Legacy Archives through a national license funded by the DFG.

EBSCO Business Source Complete is one of the most comprehensive aggregator databases in the fields of business and management. It offers access to electronic journals as well as other full-text resources.

A majority of the journals in the database are currently under embargo, meaning current volumes cannot be accessed. Publication embargoes typically last between 1 and 5 years.

In cooperation with the Economics & Management Library the TU Berlin University Library licenses content in Business Source Complete and makes it available to its users. Access is made possible through financing provided by the TU Berlin Economics & Management Library.

Dating back to 1580, Elsevier is one of the oldest and largest scientific publishers and focuses on the areas of science, technology, and mathematics, publishing content in the form of electronic journals, e-books, and databases.

With the exception of CellPress and a few other titles, the TU Berlin University Library licenses nearly all electronic journals published by Elsevier (Elseviert Freedom Collection) and makes these available to its users. JSTOR, short for Journal Storage, is an American non-profit organization founded by William G. Bowen in 1995 with the aim of helping university and college libraries provide adequate space for an ever-increasing amount of published scholarship by converting printed scholarly journals into electronic form and storing them in a centralized digital archive.

In cooperation with the Mathematics Library, the TU Berlin University Library licenses JSTOR’s Mathematics and Statistics package and makes the journals in this package available to its users.

The collection can only be accessed using the computers in the Institute of Mathematics (Math Building) or Mathematics Library. Access is made possible through financing provided by the Mathematics Library.
