Year-End Closure of TU Berlin Libraries

Please note that the libraries are also impacted by the University’s year-end closure.

  • The University Libraries of TU Berlin and UdK Berlin (Fasanenstr. 88) will remain closed from 23 December 23 until 1 January 2024.

Circulation Department: Changes in service hours from 4.12.2023

From 4.12.2023, service hours of the Central Library's Circulation Department will change on weekdays.

New service hours from Monday to Friday:

10:00-18:00

Collection of interlibrary loans and UdK audiovisual materials, borrowing of book locker keys:
10:00-22:00

Catalogus Professorum: All Entries Now Searchable

In the last few weeks, the University Archives of the Technische Universität Berlin has released the last missing entries in the Catalogus professorum database. ScanTents for scanning book pages using your smartphone

in the Central Library and the Architecture and Art Studies Department Library

You can now use our ScanTents to easily scan book pages up to DIN A3 format with your own smartphone. It's free and intuitive to use. You are welcome to try it.

You will find a ScanTent in the Copy Center and on the 3rd floor of the Central Library opposite the Information Desk, as well as in the Architecture and Art Studies Department Library. 

Application for a Single Study Room (Carrel) possible again

TU and UdK students can apply from 13.11. to 20.12.2023

Single study rooms (carrels) are available for use during the 1st quarter from 04.01. to 27.03.2024.

Applications for single study rooms are accepted from 13.11. until 16:00 on 20.12.2023.

As the number of applications usually exceeds the number of study rooms available, a draw will be held to allocate rooms.

Central Library: elevators out of order

We would like to inform you that unfortunately both elevators in the University Libraries of TU Berlin and UdK Berlin (Fasanenstr. 88) are currently out of order. We have already arranged for the repair work to be carried out, but there are delays in obtaining a replacement part.

Reopening of the Mathematics Library

The Maths Library has been open since Monday, 30 October, Monday to Friday 08 - 16.

New tool for reserving group and single study rooms online

Available for TU Berlin and UdK students

As of now, group study rooms and workbays can once again be reserved by TU Berlin and UdK students. A new feature is that you can now book more than one group study room or workbay per day. You can reserve up to twelve hours per week and spread these hours flexibly over the course of the week.

Zum Abschluss der diesjährigen Interviewreihe zur Open Access Week kommt Prof. Uwe Nestmann vom Institut für Softwaretechnik und Theoretische Informatik der Fakultät IV zu Wort.
