Rules for Using Break Disks

The break disks are meant to support a fair and efficient use of study spaces as the number of library visitors during exam periods is very high.

When should I use a break disk? 
When you temporarily leave your study space

How long can I take a break?
60 minutes

What happens after 60 minutes? 
Your study space will be cleared by library staff. Your belongings and work material will be placed to the side (laptops, books, etc). We are not liable for any unattended items.

Who can I speak to if someone has exceded the break time or not used a disk? 
Please speak with a staff member if someone’s break disc has expired or one hasn’t been used.

Library visitors are not permitted to permanently save their own seat or reserve seats for others.
