Choosing the Right Program

Technische Universität Berlin's Academic Advising Service offers events, workshops, and individual advisory sessions to help you find your way through the forest of information and equips you with the tools you need to be able to find out more yourself and make independent decisions.

It is the first point of contact for all students and prospective students with questions relating to studying at TU Berlin. Our staff can help you choose the right degree program and assist you with problems relating to your studies as well as the planning of your entire period of study.

Study Orientation Week

School students or prospective students can obtain information and advice on all aspects of choosing a study. Students from various degree programs and the Academic Advising Service team are on hand to provide support for all inquiring minds looking to study at Technische Universität Berlin.

Wegweiser Studium

You know you would like to study but you are not sure what. You are keen to find out what university is all about. Perhaps you are already studying but are not sure if you chose the right program. The Wegweiser Studium event series can provide you with the answers you are looking for: Our experts are on hand to answer all your questions about studying at university.

Individual advising

The Academic Advising Service helps prospective and current students plan their path at university step by step. Individual advisory sessions are offered during office hours and no appointment is necessary.

Studieren probieren

Before commencing a regular course of study, it can be useful to check out a degree program or some courses in advance to get a better understanding of the wide range of subjects and programs on offer.

Probestudium

Would you like to find out what studying at university is all about and check out some courses? Attending a lecture can give you a first idea. If you would like to be part of it for a whole semester, the "Guest Auditor" is ideal.

Studieren ab 16

Anyone wanting to study at university and explore the world of science before completing their Abitur will be right at home in one of our school student programs. School students grade 10 and above plus doing their Abitur can attend.

Schülerlabore

There are a wide range of Schülerlabore at TU Berlin providing school students of all ages with a chance to research to their heart’s content and try out all their ideas. There are Schülerlabore dedicated to a range of topics and subjects with others designed specifically for girls.

Educational Outreach Office

TU Berlin provides many opportunities for school students to find out about studying at university. These offers are presented in the Schulportal and are suitable for entire school classes, small groups, or individual school students. Teachers planning a visit to the University with their students should contact the Educational Outreach Office.

MINTgrün pre-study orientation

The one-year MINTgrün pre-study orientation program at TU Berlin is for anyone with a passion for mathematics, information technology, natural sciences and technology (hence the acronym MINT) and would like to discover which of these subjects could be the right degree program for them.
