You pay the semester fee for enrollment and re-registration via transfer to the University Cashier. It is not possible to pay the semester fee in cash to the University Cashier. And it is not possible to pay the semester fee in installments.

You must include the personal reference provided in tuPORT with your transfer. Otherwise we are unable to clearly match your payment to your matriculation number.
Refundable amounts will NOT be offset against semester amounts due. Please always transfer the semester amount required for the respective semester in full. Otherwise, re-registration is not possible! You can find the semester amount for the current re-registration semester in the app "My Account Balance" in your tuPORT.

ATTENTION: There will be no semester ticket for students of the TU Berlin for winter semester 2023/2024.

Receipt for the payment (Beitragsquittung)
You can find a receipt for the payment (Beitragsquittung) of semester contributions and fees in tuPORT via "Bescheide und Bescheinigungen".
This receipt (Beitragsquittung) is available from the summer semester 2020. Earlier semesters must be verified with your own bank statements.
Paying the semester fee from abroad
If you are transferring your semester fee from abroad, please be aware that some banks charge additional fees for foreign transfers and that these are deducted from the amount transferred. However, the full required sum must be deposited into TU Berlin’s account in order to successfully re-register. Please inquire with your bank in advance about possible fees.
Hardship case
If you can demonstrate that paying the Semesterticket fee would cause you considerable hardship, you can request to receive a subsidy for it. More information is available on the General Students’ Committee (AStA) website.
