Past selection cut-off criteria (Auswahlgrenzen) provide information on the average Abitur grade (for bachelor’s applications) or the points score in the selection process (master’s applications) as well as the waiting period required to gain a place in restricted admission programs in previous semesters.
The allocation of study placements for bachelor’s degree programs is based equally on the average Abitur grade and waiting periods.
The cut-off criteria or numerus clausus (NC) apply to all bachelor’s applicants with a German university entrance qualification certificate as well as citizens of the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway with a university entry qualification certificate.
