Studying at university represents the start of a new chapter and calls for an event befitting this important milestone. The Festive Welcome Event for winter semester 2022/23 on 10 October 2022 is targeted towards new students and features an entertaining and varied program. We invite you to learn about campus life while celebrating the start of the semester with delicious food and refreshments and networking with fellow students.
What can new students expect?
In the Groove to Study – The motto says it all! You can look forward to an exciting stage program, professors throwing down tracks as DJs, street food, and our popular welcome bag! The Festive Welcome Event is the official kick-off to the semester and supplements the degree programs’ introductory events and other advising offers on starting your studies.

Join us as the president of TU Berlin Professor Dr. Geraldine Rauch and TU Berlin student Pia Kausch officially welcome all new students. They will be sharing their personal tips for an eventful student life. Afterwards, vice president for education, teacher training and continuing education Christian Schröder will provide you with important information about studying at TU Berlin. You can look forward to tips, tricks, advice and ideas for a successful time as a student under the motto “We are TU Berlin!” You can also take part in a live quiz about campus life at TU Berlin with student representatives. The event is moderated by Nadine Hadad, TU Berlin alumna and journalist with Bayerischer Rundfunk.
TU Berlin professors on the turntables featuring: Professor Dr. Geraldine Rauch, president of TU Berlin, Dr. Martin S. Haase, university lecturer at the Chair of Civil, Commercial, Corporate and Innovation Law, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Lydia Kaiser, professor for "Digital Engineering 4.0." as well as Christian Schröder, vice president for education, teacher training, and continuing education.
