As a guest auditor (Gasthörerschaft), you can attend individual courses for a fee without being enrolled at TU Berlin.
If you are enrolled at another university in Germany, EU, Island, Liechtenstein or Norway, you can attend individual courses at TU Berlin and take exams as a visiting student (Nebenhörerschaft).
As a guest auditing student, you can attend individual courses for a fee without being enrolled at TU Berlin if the instructor and the responsible faculty have approved your participation in advance.
Admission is only granted for the course in the respective semester. A course may not exceed a total of six hours per semester week.
You may only attend courses with special admission if your participation does not exclude students of the TU Berlin or visiting students.
You are not permitted to take exams as an auditor. However, you will receive proof of participation and proof of any credits acquired.

You pay 15 euros for each course hour per week. You should therefore check the course catalogue to see how many hours your course has.
Secondary school students in grades 10, 11, 12, and 13 and members of TU Berlin are exempt from paying the auditing fee.

Auditors are also permitted to take courses offered by the Modern Language Center (ZEMS). Please refer to the ZEMS fee ordinance to learn about the required fees.
If you would like to audit a course as part of a continuing education program, please pay the fees as stipulated in the fee ordinance for participation in these continuing education programs.
If you would like to attend classes as a guest auditor, please complete the application for guest auditors. Send this by email to the instructor of the class you wish to attend requesting their agreement. Once you have obtained agreement, you should send this together with your application to the dean’s office of the relevant faculty for their approval. You can find contact details below. Then contact the Office of Student Affairs in time by email (address on the form) with the dean’s and the instructor's approval so you can be officially admitted to the course. Please send also the proof of payment as a PDF document.

Participants of the four-semester continuing education program “Berlin Model: Education for Post-Occupational Activities (BANA)" pay 60 euros for each semester. Before you can request to audit, you must first register with the Center for Scientific Continuing Education and Cooperation (ZEWK).
If you are enrolled at another university in Germany, EU, Island, Liechtenstein or Norway, you can attend individual courses at TU Berlin and take exams as a visiting student (Nebenhörerschaft) if the instructor and the responsible faculty have approved your participation in advance.
Being a visiting student does not make you a member of TU Berlin, however, and you will not be enrolled at the TU Berlin.
Your attendance may not exclude TU Berlin students from participating in the course.

You can apply for one semester at the Student Office of the TU Berlin.
For this purpose, please fill out the application form and the survey form.
Then contact the lecturers and the dean of the faculty with the application and obtain their signatures. Usually it is not the dean who signs the document. It will be signed by the authorized signatories on behalf of the dean's office. This can be done purely electronically via email.

Once you have received the consent forms on the application, send the application together with the survey form, a current certificate of study for the semester for which you are applying for to get a visiting student or certificate of enrollment and the other documents mentioned in the application in time as a PDF by e-mail to the Office of Student Affairs. If the application is signed electronically by TU Berlin or signed and stamped by the dean, it will be accepted.
The documents will be accepted in german or english language. Certificates of study issued in another language need translation, made by official bodies or sworn translators.

After the Office of Student Affairs has processed your application, you will receive an email to create a TUB account as well as a confirmation of the approved visiting student program for the respective semester.
