TUB account and TUB portal

One imperative ritual for all new students at TU Berlin is creating a personal TUB account. This student “account” allows you to use IT services on campus and your TUB portal. The TUB portal combines a variety of services and applications needed during your studies. For instance, you can request your student ID, view or change your personal information, print enrollment certificates, register for exams, order software, use the printing service, surf the web using the University’s free WLAN, and so much more.

TU email account

As a student of TU Berlin, you will receive your own TUB email address. It is an essential tool for organizing your studies. Important information and reminders, such as about re-registration, will be exclusively sent to this address. Make sure to regularly check your inbox or have emails sent to this address forwarded to your personal email. This will ensure you do not miss any deadlines or changes.

All modules at a glance: the MTS module database

In MTS, students can find all modules for every semester and degree program. Module descriptions include the module content, type of examination, credits or workload, language of instruction, teaching and learning formats, frequency, and contact persons. The MTS web interface is integrated into Moses (see above). However, module information is accessible without logging in.

Moses: Schedules, tutorials, exam registrations, etc.

Moses is a system developed by TU Berlin to schedule and manage tutorials. Here, students can enter their preferences for tutorial days and times and have optimized personal schedules created based on recommended course schedules. It also allows users to enter sub-activities (e.g. homework criteria) for courses and register or manage exams.

ISIS: Teaching materials, homework, tests, etc.

Students can download course materials and submit homework through the ISIS learning platform. Lecturers can also use the platform to give electronic tests and exams and grade homework. Wikis allow for collaborative work, while forums provide a space for discussion.

QISPOS: Online examination registration

QISPOS is the center of digital examination registration and deregistration at the University. Online registration is available for a number of compulsory and compulsory elective module exams in bachelor’s and master’s programs. If online registration is possible, students are REQUIRED to register online using QISPOS. Please note that examination registration is only open during specific registration periods. After the deadline, it is only possible to register directly with the relevant examination team in the Examination Section. This also requires written agreement from the examiner.

Course catalogue

LSF is TU Berlin’s digital course catalogue. It offers students current information about courses in degree programs including times, locations, and additional details. LSF also contains other offers outside of the formal degree programs. These include events organized by Academic Advising, the University Library, and other central services.

Free data storage in the cloud

tubCloud is TU Berlin's very own storage service for personal data, such as files, music, and photos, accessible wherever you are. This data can be synchronized to multiple terminal devices. The web interface also includes a photo gallery and an integrated PDF viewer. The built-in editor allows users to collaborate on shared documents and supports coders with a syntax highlighting feature. tubCloud is thus a useful tool for students and a free and open source alternative to other well-known cloud storage services such as Dropbox.
