Carlo Segat earned his Master's degree in Cloud and Network Infrastructures through the EIT Digital Master's program from 2020 to 2022. During this period, he also served as a student research assistant at SNET under Friedhelm Victor, concentrating on creating an innovative web tool for large graph visualization.
Throughout his undergraduate studies in Computer Science at the University of York, from 2015 to 2019, Carlo achieved an honors degree and gained practical experience as a software developer during a year-long internship at an international cheminformatics company. In his final thesis, he experimented with novel methods for the task of Sentiment Analysis in NLP.
Carlo also possesses hands-on software development experience, having worked as a backend and frontend developer for 4 years. In his current role as a research assistant under the guidance of Prof. Axel Küpper, his research is centered on Self Sovereign Identity (SSI).
