For all researchers with an interest in participatory processes and transdisciplinary research, there is a new opportunity to help shape research funding.
As part of the "Next Grand Challenge" initiative, the Berlin University Alliance (BUA) is looking for a topic for new research projects. The BUA is the alliance of Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin and Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin. Together they have set themselves the goal of finding answers to the major societal challenges - the Grand Challenges - of the 21st century.
With the Next Grand Challenge, a new approach is being tried out to search for the topic of a new research project in a participatory process with society. Researchers from BUA's partners will research and develop inter- and transdisciplinary solutions for this project.
Researchers and students of the BUA partners can submit topic proposals and young people (14-18 years old) can register to participate in the topic identification process via the website www.bua-calling.de.
