Technische Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Freie Universität Berlin and Charité – Universitätsmedizin are looking for students with ideas for improving campus life during the coronavirus pandemic.
Campus life is currently restricted by the measures imposed to contain the coronavirus. Classes are taking place in digital formats and lunching with friends in the canteen and sports and fitness courses have been put on hold. Studying together in larger groups is only possible under certain conditions and even then generally only online.
New regulations introduced to combat the spread of the virus impact physically, mentally and emotionally on the lives of students. The “4Campus: Our University - Your Start-up Ideas” competition is intended to support creative and innovative ideas for dealing with and finding solutions to the impact the coronavirus is having on campus life.
The universities are providing support measures to help promote the best ideas. These include work places in incubators and co-working spaces, advising from personal mentors, access to exclusive advising and training programs, active involvement in entrepreneurship communities, network contacts and use of prototype workshops.
Applications close on 19 July 2020.
