The objective of the round tables is to open a dialog between junior scholars and target groups involved in the advancement of junior scholars at TU Berlin for the discussion and development of ideas and measures in this area. The round tables are part of the Strategy for the Advancement of Junior Scholars at TU Berlin passed by the Academic Senate in July 2018. The round tables in the summer semester 2020 accompanied the implementation of the Action Plan for the Advancement of Junior Scholars 2019/21 passed by the Academic Senate in July 2019, which contains measures for the advancement of junior scholars which are to be implemented in 2019-2021.
In summer semester 2020, we have already arranged two online appointments of the Round Tables for Junior Scholars at TU Berlin.

The measures that were proposed in the previous discussions that were included in the action plan for 2019 were presented and discussed to evaluate further steps of their implementation.
Together with the TU-DOC Office for Doctoral and Postdoctoral Services, Vice President for Strategic Development, Junior Scholars, and Teacher Education Angela Ittel held five round tables during the 2018/19 winter semester, which junior scholars were invited to attend. Each round table was oriented towards a specific target group.
The round tables are part of the implementation of the Strategy for the Advancement of Junior Scholars, which was approved by the Academic Senate in July 2018. They were held to provide an opportunity to speak with the specific target groups within the advancement of junior scholars and discuss their suggestions and ideas for measures.
Lively discussions with the participants resulted in numerous contributions and suggestions for further developing and expanding support and offers for junior scholars at TU Berlin. These are summarized in the linked documents.
