Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
We would like to invite you, also on behalf of the Faculty V, to this year’s introduction and information session for (new) doctoral candidates at the faculty. It will take place on
Monday, 30th November 2020, 14:00 to 16:00; the meeting will be held online, see p. 3.
The session will offer a short overview of the information and orientation material of the “Center for Junior Scholars” CJS, formerly the TU-DOC office for doctoral and postdoctoral services. The ombudsperson for doctoral candidates Dietrich Manzey, and Anke Heymann as the responsible staff member will briefly introduce the Faculty with its focal points, the most important contact persons for you and their support for young academics. Tu-Anh Fay and Philipp Nagel as spokesperson for Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiter*innen in the faculty board will introduce you to the networking activities among early stage researchers.
We would like to get in contact with you personally and to discuss together questions concerning the organization and structuring of your doctorate like i.e.:
- How can I plan my doctorate in advance and be supervised effectively?
- Which qualifications are important and which services does TU offer to support me?
Parts of the session will be held in English. It is not necessary to register for this event.
You can directly log in onto Webex here:
You will find the presentation here shortly before the event.
We are looking forward to seeing and discussing with you.
