Are you interested in writing a thesis in the field of production and management? Then you have come to the right place.
Every semester, we assign a selection of theses on current topics. You can apply for this by March 31 or August 30 for the respective following semester.
Notes about the application process
If you would like to write your thesis at our chair, please apply by 31 March or 31 August for a place in the following semester.
To do so, enroll in the Isis Course POM Bewerbung and complete the "Anmeldung Abschlussarbeiten" survey.
To complete the survey, you will need to write a short letter of motivation (about 1/2 page). You may upload other relevant application materials within the survey. The following application documents must be submitted:
- Current overview of grades
- for Master students: also the BSc transcript
When allocating places, we are primarily guided by study progress, relevance of study profile and subject preference. Special priority is given to graduates of our specialisation modules and in particular the practical seminar (POMcases, POMcodinglab).
Unfortunately, we can only supervise a limited number of theses each semester, so please also apply to other chairs.

Suggested topics
Please indicate your preferences and topic suggestions in the survey (ISIS course POM Bewerbung). Your own suggestions for topics, also in cooperation with companies, are possible. For theses with companies, we recommend discussing the scientific fit with us beforehand and clarifying with the company how confidentiality agreements are to be handled.
