Nico Gärtner is a research assistant at the department "Production and Operations Management" (POM) since the beginning of 2023. Besides the modules GiP, AutoPOM, POMcases as well as POMcoding#lab, he also supervises final theses and is involved in the research project HyMAS (Hybrid Multi-Agent System for Self-Controlled Steel Production).
After completing his bachelor's degree in industrial engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt, where he worked for many years as a research assistant at the Department of Corporate Finance, he moved to the Technical University of Berlin for his master's degree, also in industrial engineering. In the course of his studies, he also completed a semester abroad at TECNUN - Universidad de Navarra (Spain). He found his way to the POM chair through his final thesis on "Potentials of autonomous vehicles for the operations of shared-mobility providers".
