Prof. Dr. Ruming Zhang becomes new professor at the Institute of Mathematics

We warmly welcome 

Prof. Dr. Ruming Zhang.

She represents the chair of "Analysis and Application" at the Institute of Mathematics since May 01, 2023.

Prof. Dr. Ruming Zhang studied mathematics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences and received her doctorate in 2014. After that, she worked as a postdoc researcher at the Michigan Technological University. From 2015 to 2018, she was a Marie-Curie Fellow at the University of Bremen and afterwards, until her appointment at TU Berlin, Junior Research Group Leader at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).

Her research interests lie in the area of direct and inverse scattering problems. At TU Berlin she will study three major questions: the theoretical analysis of partial differential equations (PDEs), the numerical analysis for forward problems, and algorithms for inverse problems.
