In an interview with the magazine DUZ- Wissenschaft&Management, Professor Christian Thomsen, president of TU Berlin, talks about the experiences gained and the consequences arising from the coronavirus crisis and presents his vision for a university of the future. “For us, it is now a question of learning for the future from the crisis. We will change. It is important now that we consolidate those measures which have proven effective, invest in the right things and adapt the regulations governing public service work to the requirements of digitalization. Flexible working arrangements and the option of working from home have proven effective,” says Thomsen, outlining his plans.
“I want to achieve the following goals with this strategy: Arm ourselves against such crises situations by strengthening our digitalization. Make TU Berlin a truly attractive and family-friendly place to work. Contribute to combating the climate crisis.”
