Strengthening the relationship between teaching and (top-level) research and providing students and junior researchers the opportunity to conduct independent research – these are the goals of the Berlin University Alliance’s Student Research Opportunities ProgramX (StuROPX ). To achieve these goals, the Berlin University Alliance will be funding two new teaching formats starting from summer semester 2021.
The X-Student Research Groups provide doctoral candidates and postdocs the chance to conduct research on an aspect of their own project working together with students in a course. The initiative thus enables students to participate in current research projects and junior scholars to gain experience as research group leaders.
The X-Tutorials provide students the opportunity to research projects of their own choice working together with other students. The research tutorials can run for one or two semesters and are initiated by the students themselves. The X-Tutorials are based on TU Berlin’s project laboratories and are thus a perfect addition to TU Berlin’s own funding programs.
The deadline for applications closes 11 December 2020.
