The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) is funding the establishment of a network of female infection researchers in Germany over the next three years. RWTH professor Gabriele Pradel is heading the project. The founding team includes colleagues Melanie Brinkmann (TU Braunschweig), Petra Dersch (University of Münster), Sandra Ciesek (University Hospital Frankfurt), Cynthia Sharma (University of Würzburg) and Sina Bartfeld (TU Berlin).

A learning guide

The Education Committee of the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) has prepared a syllabus and learning guide to aid instructors in preparing a course on the “Introduction to Stem Cell Biology.” The materials are intended for teaching undergraduate students, early graduate students, or medical students who are interested in stem cell biology. Sina Bartfeld is part of the ISSCR education committee.

BONSAI STOMACHS HELP BEAT CANCER
