The Mathematics Library will be open longer again from 1 February

Please pay attention to the new regulations.

From Thursday, 1 February, the Maths Library will be open again during the week until 9pm and also on Saturdays.

Please note: Due to the lack of escape route lighting, the maths building will continue to close at 4pm for students and external guests, which is why the following rules apply to library visits:

On campus sale of products from the official TU Berlin store resumed

A selection can now be purchased in the Maths Library. Only card payment possible.

From now on, products from the Technische Universität Berlin Official Online Shop can be purchased again in the Maths Library. We currently offer the following selection from the range:

Book of Condolences for Dr. Frank H. Lutz

There is a book of condolences available in the library until 15 December for our dear colleague, who passed away recently.

On November 10, 2023, our research fellow at the Institute of Mathematics, Dr. Frank Lutz, passed away unexpectedly. The members of the Institute mourn the loss and their thoughts are with the family. Please read here the official statement of the Mathematics Institute.

Electricity available again at the reading tables

After the reopening on October 30, some workstations were still without power. From now on, cell phones and laptops can be charged again at all workstations.

All workstations in the Mathematics Library are equipped with sockets, which are now all working again after a successful repair by the TU electricians.

Please note, however, that there is one socket for every two workstations in the reading room. If space is tight, we ask our guests to make arrangements and share them. It is currently not…

Reopening of the Mathematics Library

The Maths Library has been open since Monday, 30 October, Monday to Friday 08 - 16.

As of now, our 170 individual study stations, 4 workbays for homework groups, our learning room 'Aquarium' for in-depth silent work as well as 5 video conferencing stations on the first floor of the Mathematics Building are available to you again. Partial opening of the MA building: Library remains in the Z building until the end of October

From 9.10. the Mathematics Building of the TU Berlin is partially accessible again. We will keep the "Pop-up Math Library" in the Z-Building open until Oct. 24th and will be back at the end of october

After the full shutdown of the building due to massive water damage and the resulting move of the library into an interim accommodation in June, a gradual return to the building can now take place. Please note the further information and restrictions in operation on the corresponding website of the TU Berlin.

Semester kick-off event of the Institute of Mathematics

On 24 October from 6 pm, the get-together will take place in the Pop-Up Maths Library.

All members of the Institute of Mathematics and our guest of the Mathematics Library are cordially invited to welcome the winter semester together on Tuesday, 24 October at 6:00 pm. Discover our lounge

In addition to individual and group workstations, the Pop-Up Maths Library also includes a sofa corner for reading mathematical magazines, daily newspapers, and journals.

In our lounge / sofa corner we offer a range of mathematical magazines and daily newspapers. Especially for students of mathematics, it is always worthwhile to take a look at current issues of magazines to find out what is happening in the math community. There are plenty of interesting stories to discover.

Our opening hours in the Z Building from August 14 - September 30, 2023: Mondays - Fridays 10:00 - 18:00

The "Pop-up Math Library" will remain open during the summer in the Z building of the TU Berlin. We are open from 14.8. until 30.9. at the following times: Mondays - Fridays 10:00 - 18:00.

Opening of the Pop-Up Maths Library

As of Monday, 10.07.23, new learning and working spaces are available to students in Building Z

Due to the closure of the Mathematics building, the 170 workplaces in the Mathematics Library for students have also been lost. We are therefore all the more pleased to announce that alternative learning and working facilities have been created at short notice in the rooms of the former TU Printing office (Building Z).
