The Institute of Mathematics mourns the loss of Prof. Dr. Bernd Wegner

Prof. Dr. Bernd Wegner (1942 - 2024) passed away on January 18, 2024. With his passing, the Institute of Mathematics at Faculty II loses a valued and wonderful colleague.

Prof. Wegner had been working at the TU Berlin since 1966 and
until his retirement on 31 March 2007, he headed the department of
the "Geometry and Topology" department.

He was a committed researcher and university lecturer and for over 37 years
