The sound booth allows for high-quality speech recordings. Equipped with the requisite hardware and software, the soundproof booth is available to students to make recordings for their term papers or final theses after prior arrangement with Dr. Brückl.

The Chair of Speech Communication’s sound booth is a soundproof booth with reflection reduction from Desone. The sound insulation prevents background noise from negatively impacting speech recordings. The following hardware is available for recordings:

• Various audio recording devices and microphones
• Large diaphragm condenser microphone
• RME Fireface UC sound card
• Tannoy Reveal Active active studio nearfield monitors

The computer is installed with the following software:
