Announcing the Release of Central European Refined Analysis (CER v2): A 43-Year Gridded Data Set.

We are pleased to announce the expansion of the CER v2 data set, a 43-year gridded scientific data set covering 1980-2022 with a 2 km grid size and hourly temporal resolution. Generated by dynamical downscaling using the Weather Research and Forecasting model (WRF) version 4.3.3, this version uses ERA5 reanalysis forcing data provided by ECMWF. The simulation strategy is a cascaded two-way nesting with daily re-initialization. CER v2 data products are currently available for the 2 km domain, which covers mainly the Berlin-Brandenburg area. For more details on the domain setup and run strategy, please refer to the CER website. We invite researchers to explore this comprehensive data set, which offers detailed climate and weather patterns for Central Europe.
