Recommendation letters for study abroad

Are you planning a semester abroad and need a university lecturer's recommendation letter for your application?

Prof. Tai can support you with a recommendation. The prerequisite for a meaningful recommendation letter is that you have successfully completed at least one of our modules and/or written your thesis at our chair.

Please send an email to a.junker(at)tu-berlin.de and attach the following information and documents:

  • Which universities do you want to apply for and why (under which exchange program)?
  • Which of our modules have you attended and when? Do we know you from other (teaching) formats?
  • When do you need the recommendation letter? When is the application deadline?
  • Please attach a recent transcript of grades!

Process: Usually, we first conduct a short personal interview, in person or via zoom. For this purpose, we will make an appointment with you. Afterwards, Prof. Tai will prepare the recommendation letter.

Please allow approximately 3 - 4 weeks for the entire process from receipt of your written request and take this into account in order to meet the application deadline.

Our Modules

We like to engage students in hands-on building of distributed information systems and to take an interdisciplinary approach to evaluating such systems.

Through a close mentoring of students, especially in our seminars, we aim to introduce students to our ongoing research and to excite them to do future studies and research with us.

We recommend the course of study below.
