General Information

The TU Berlin Summer School will be offering one scholarship, the TU Berlin President’s Scholarship to an exceptional applicant applying to participate in course of the 2024 TU Berlin Summer Program.

The TU Berlin President’s Scholarship is a scholarship that provides free tuition, supported by the TU Berlin. This scholarship will be awarded to ONE applicant only.

Please note: Scholarship applications can only be submitted for on-campus courses and do not include accommodation and travel expenses. Applicants must be able to finance all other expenses on their own.

All applicants must register for the TU Berlin Summer School via the registration portal and upload the supporting documents while registering.

The deadline for applications is 26 April 2024 at 9:00 am (Central European Summer Time).


Application Process

Please read the following instructions carefully and ensure that you complete each step. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

  1. Register for the TU Berlin Summer School on via our online registration portal, selecting the course that you wish to participate in. Scholarship applications can only be submitted for on-campus courses.
  2. Complete all the required steps as prompted but do not pay the 60€ registration fee
  3. Upload your application as one PDF file including the 4 documents listed below. The application should be uploaded in the “DOCUMENTS section” of the application form (in the online registration portal).

To apply for a scholarship, please include the following documents and combine them into one PDF:

  1. Motivation letter (approx. 1-2 pages)
  2. CV (max. 2 pages)
  3. Transcript of records (official grade list)
  4. Recommendation letter from one of your professors (recommended but not mandatory). Note: unsigned letters will not be considered



In order to be eligible, the following two criteria must be met:

  1. You must be currently studying and enrolled as a student at the time of application
  2. You must reside outside of Germany
  3. You must fulfil the requirements of the TU Berlin Summer School: All applicants are required to be proficient in English (B2, CEFR)and have completed at least one year of university (or can demonstrate equivalent work experience).

Please adhere to the following instructions to ensure that your application is eligible for consideration.

At the end of this page, you will find links to free online tools that can help you create, resize and combine files into one PDF.

  • Applications submitted after 9:00 am Central European Summer Time (CEST) will not be taken into consideration.
  • Please upload your application as one PDF including the 4 documents (transcript, CV, motivation letter, and recommendation letter).
  • Attachments should be a maximum of 5 megabytes.
