Information and Communication Management

Business Models in E-Business

General Information

As part of the course, a business idea in the e-business environment will be developed in group work. In addition, the basics in the subject areas of e-business, business model development and business plan are imparted in the first weeks of the semester. The groups can then implement what they have learned and come up with their own ideas. The aim of the event is to develop a business plan for your own business idea.

The business plan will be developed in groups (4-5 participants), which will be determined in the second event. There will be an lecture approximately every 14 days, which will include individual presentations per group presenting the current progress. The participation in these group presentations is mandatory for all group members.

Organizational Matters

Registration with ISIS2 is required for this course. The number of participants is limited to 40 (a mandatory survey must be carried out on the ISIS platform to register). If there are more than 40 registrations, we must make a selection based on the following criteria:

  • Master's students (possibly taking into account the course of study, e.g. shortly before graduation and in case of repeated registration if place was not obtained in the last summer semester)
  • Remaining places for Bachelor students will be allocated according to the lottery procedure

Regardless of this, a appearance at the kick-off on 21.04.2022 is mandatory for registration (!!!), otherwise you will be excluded from the event. In addition, registration via MTS or formular is required (information will be provided at the kick-off).
