Carina Fresemann studied mechanical engineering with a specialization in aeronautics and astronautics at RWTH Aachen. Following graduation, she worked in the aeronautics industry, first in structure assembly and later in configuration management, change management and PDM/PLM method development as well as project management for PLM implementation projects.

Carina joined our academic chair in October 2014. She has been chief engineer since January 2017. Her research focuses on the further development of PLM tools and their profitable use.

As an academic chair, we work on various publicly funded research projects while also maintaining a high level of collaboration with industry in joint research projects.
